A young motorcyclist has died following a tragic accident on the Isle of Sheppey, and authorities are appealing for witnesses and video footage to help piece together the events that led to the fatal collision.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:50pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, on Leysdown Road when a man in his 20s, riding a black Suzuki DR-Z400, was travelling in a convoy with another motorcycle when he was thrown from his bike.
Emergency services were quickly on the scene and provided medical treatment, but despite their efforts, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Kent Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the two motorcycles beforehand to come forward. Investigators are particularly interested in any dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident, which took place between the junctions of Kingsdale Court and Danes Drive. Video footage can also be uploaded online.
