Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious road traffic collision near Maidstone in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the A229 Linton Road, near the junction with Rosemount Close in Loose, at approximately 5.33am on 27 August 2025 where an incident involving a white van and a cyclist had occurred. Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where the cyclist was treated for injuries before being airlifted to a London hospital. He remains in a serious condition.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is urging anyone who was travelling in the area at the time to review any dashcam recordings that may assist with the investigation. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are urging motorists who were in the area at the time to check for any relevant dashcam footage which can be uploaded via the Police online portal here.
