Police Arrest Two Following Herne Bay Street Assault

Kent Police have arrested two men in connection with a serious assault that left a man in his 40s hospitalized in a serious but stable condition.

The incident occurred just before 7pm on Monday, August 25, on Hampton Pier Avenue in Herne Bay. Police and paramedics responded to a report of an altercation where a man had been assaulted. The attacker reportedly fled the scene in a car. The victim was treated for head injuries at the scene before being airlifted to a London hospital.

Following the assault, an 18-year-old man from Whitstable and a 48-year-old man from Herne Bay were arrested and are currently in police custody. Authorities believe all parties involved were known to each other.
