Two men have been arrested and charged following a quick response by Kent Police to a reported attempted robbery on the Isle of Sheppey. The incident unfolded on Friday, September 5, when a lorry driver was approached by two suspicious individuals.

The driver was parked in Cullet Drive, Queenborough, when the suspects reportedly approached him. Fearing for his safety, the driver quickly threw his keys over a nearby fence. The suspects then allegedly threatened the victim before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Within just one hour of the incident being reported, police officers were able to locate and stop a car in Princes Road, Dartford. The rapid police response led to the arrest of two individuals. Both men, aged 37, have since been charged with attempted robbery and possession of cannabis. They have appeared in court and are currently being held in custody until their next court date on October 6.

Detectives are continuing their investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance.
