Sevenoaks residents are reeling after a high-speed police chase tore through their town. A blue Range Rover reportedly mounted pavements and blazed past schools at breakneck speeds.
Police are pleading for witnesses and dashcam footage to help catch the driver responsible for Wednesday’s terrifying pursuit.
The chaos began at 4:15pm on September 10, when Kent Police officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Amherst Hill. Instead of pulling over, the driver allegedly led police on a white-knuckle chase, rocketing through residential streets at speeds of up to 60 mph in a 30 mph zone, during a rainy afternoon.
The dangerous driving didn’t stop there. According to authorities, the Range Rover repeatedly drove onto pavements, narrowly missing pedestrians and creating a truly horrifying scene. The chase finally ended when the vehicle, with a licence plate beginning with SR70, was abandoned on Evelyn Road in Otford.
Investigators are now urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage to call the appeal line on 01622 604100 quoting reference 46/157760/25. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or use the online form.
