Two drug dealers from Maidstone have been sentenced to a combined five years in prison after a police raid uncovered cocaine with a potential street value of up to £35,000. Klevis Arifi, 21, and Asllan Cani, 28, were sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, September 19, 2025. The pair each received a two-and-a-half-year jail term.
The investigation began on Saturday, March 15, 2025, when officers stopped a car driven by Arifi on Boxley Road. A search of the vehicle yielded eight bags of cocaine. Arifi’s subsequent arrest led police to his Maidstone flat, where they found Cani and a significant drug cache.
Inside, officers discovered two vacuum-packed blocks of cocaine weighing 204g, along with a number of smaller deal bags and £1,050 in cash. An expert analysis determined the pure cocaine was valued at around £10,000 but could have fetched up to £35,000 once processed for street sale.
Text messages from seized phones revealed the duo was deeply involved in local drug dealing, operating as both street-level dealers and higher-ranking members of a County Lines operation. Arifi and Cani both pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possessing criminal property. Arifi also admitted to driving without insurance.
Investigating officer PC Brandon Mills said:
‘This is a great result as it takes a large quantity of class A drugs off the streets as well as people key to supplying them to the Maidstone area. The initial traffic stop was only made possible through extensive background work by officers, with solid work then carried out by the whole team to secure our case. We’re glad it paid off and we’re very pleased to see Cani and Arifi behind bars.’
