Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw the incident involving a lorry and a black BMW on the London-bound carriageway. They are urgently appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a two-vehicle collision on the M20 near Folkestone earlier this week involving a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and a black BMW, which took place on the London-bound carriageway at 4.33pm on Tuesday 30 September 2025.

Officers attended the scene along with other emergency services. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, however a 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released on bail.

Investigating officers are particularly keen to gather information regarding the movements of the black BMW prior to the crash. The vehicle is believed to have been travelling from the Folkestone Harbour area before its involvement in the collision. Drivers with dashcam footage who were travelling in the area around that time are asked to check their recordings immediately.

Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 30-1159. Your information could be vital to the investigation.
