Dog Walker and Pets Struck by Car in Maidstone Collision

Police were called at 4.40pm on Wednesday 17 September 2025 to the A20 Ashford Road, where a pedestrian was struck on a crossing next to Weavering Street. Witnesses and dashcam footage are sought by officers after a man walking his dogs was injured following the incident in Maidstone.

The collision involved a blue Cupra and was attended by officers along with ambulance crews. The victim, aged in his 20s, was taken to a local hospital suffering several injuries. He has since been discharged. His two dogs required veterinary care but survived. The driver stopped following the incident and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

Residents and businesses with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam who were in the area at the time, are urged to check for any footage which may assist the investigation. Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 17-1013.
