A man has been charged with murder following the death of a victim in Snodland who was injured in a street disturbance over three months ago. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 3pm on July 1, 2025, when police and ambulance crews were called to a reported altercation on Edwards Close. A man, 51, was allegedly punched and knocked unconscious, sustaining serious injuries. He was airlifted to a London hospital.

A suspect, 31, from Snodland, was initially arrested the following day and charged in connection with causing grievous bodily harm with intent. However, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries on October 6 and following the death, the suspect was re-arrested and subsequently charged with murder. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today, October 8.
