A police manhunt spanning two days and multiple towns has ended with two arrests after a stolen vehicle was involved in high-speed pursuits and several collisions in Faversham and Canterbury over the weekend.

Kent Police were first alerted at 7:30 am on Saturday, 11 October, to the theft of a vehicle from Faversham’s Standard Quay. By 10:00 am, the car had been located in Canterbury. The driver refused to pull over for officers on Sturry Road, triggering a chase that saw the vehicle involved in minor collisions with three other cars before it was lost from sight. This led to the arrest of a 31-year-old man, who has since been bailed.

The search for the vehicle resumed on Sunday, 12 October, when officers found it in Whiting Crescent, Faversham. A second pursuit began, which came to a halt after the stolen car struck another vehicle, injuring the driver. The chase concluded in Preston Grove, where officers apprehended a 25-year-old local man. He was arrested on multiple charges, including dangerous driving and theft, and remains in custody.
