Kent Police are urgently renewing their appeal for witnesses and information after a serious bus collision in Hythe has tragically claimed a life.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, on Prospect Road. Police were called shortly before 3:00 PM to reports of a collision involving a bus, travelling east between Sun Lane and Douglas Avenue, and a pedestrian. The victim, a woman in her 80s, was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, she passed away two weeks later on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing their enquiries and need your help. We are specifically asking to speak to anyone who was a passenger on the bus at the time but may have left the scene before officers arrived.
Investigators are also keen to review any CCTV or dashcam footage from the Prospect Road area around the time of the collision.
