TV Legend Tony Hart Centenary Exhibition Opens in Maidstone

Creative Maidstone Community Arts Hub is celebrating what would have been the 100th birthday of iconic TV artist Tony Hart with a special retrospective exhibition. Curated by his daughter, Carolyn Ross, the display is a journey through the work of the Maidstone-born artist, best known for shows like Take Hart, the original ‘Blue Peter’ badge, and creating Morph.

The exhibition, which Carolyn Ross says her father “would be so thrilled” to see in his hometown, goes beyond his TV fame to showcase the depth of his talent. Visitors can see a range of pieces including original sketches, watercolours, and surprising, stunning portraiture. The free exhibition is one of the first major events at the new community hub, owned by Maidstone Borough Council.
