A man has tragically died following a fierce fire that engulfed an outbuilding on Lancaster Close, Ramsgate, yesterday, Friday, November 7th, 2025.
Fire crews were scrambled to the scene at 11:04 a.m. after reports of the blaze. Two fire engines from Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) attended the incident. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus and using both main and high-pressure hose reel jets, battled for hours to bring the flames under control.
Sadly, KFRS later confirmed a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighting operations were finally completed shortly after 6:00 pm. The initial call was at 11:04 am, with operations concluded by 6:16 pm. Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) were also in attendance as partner agencies.
An urgent investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the fatal blaze remain unknown.
