Bogus Care Worker Charged After Allegedly Stealing Hundreds of Pounds From Vulnerable Pensioner

A Maidstone woman has been charged in connection with allegations that she posed as a care worker to steal a bank card from an elderly victim suffering from dementia.

Police were alerted on Saturday, November 15, 2025, after the vulnerable pensioner was reportedly targeted at her home address near Week Street.

At 8:05 PM that evening, the woman—aged 60 and from Maidstone—was arrested. The charges also include previous alleged thefts involving the same victim.

She appeared before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 17, where she entered a not guilty plea. Following the hearing, she was remanded in custody.
