Kent Police have demonstrated exceptional speed and coordination, arresting two men and recovering a stolen delivery van just 40 minutes after the theft was reported in Sittingbourne.

The drama began at 11:28 am on Thursday, November 13, 2025, when a vehicle was reported stolen from Cherry Close while the driver was making a parcel delivery. Immediate action saw the stolen van quickly identified by a camera in Iwade.

Patrols were swiftly deployed, and the vehicle was located within minutes. To secure the area and track the suspects, Kent Police’s Rural Task Force deployed a drone, while officers gathered crucial witness accounts from local residents.

The quick investigation paid off. By 12:03 pm, less than an hour after the initial call, two men were located and arrested on the A249 Maidstone Road.
