Kent Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following an assault that took place near St Martin’s Hill in Canterbury last month.

Officers were called shortly before 3pm on Monday, October 27, 2025, after reports of a disturbance and assault. The incident is believed to have occurred near a churchyard on North Holmes Road. A 19-year-old man, who was part of a group that had walked to the location earlier that afternoon, was reportedly assaulted. He sustained injuries to his face, hands, and leg.

Following initial enquiries, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault on Thursday, October 30. He has since been released on bail with conditions while the investigation continues.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are keen to hear from witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
