Canterbury City Council has secured a massive £1.5 million grant to give eligible homeowners a life-changing home makeover—for absolutely no cost.

Are you tired of skyrocketing energy bills and a cold home? Then here’s the Good news! The Council has successfully won central government funding through the Warm Homes Local Grant, and they are ready to spend it on you. This isn’t a small discount. This is a fully-funded program to install a range of premium energy-saving measures, including:

  • Home Insulation
  • Boiler Upgrades
  • Brand New Solar Panels

The goal is simple: to help Canterbury residents in fuel poverty slash their bills, enjoy a warmer, more comfortable home, and help the district hit its Net Zero climate targets.

Councillor Mel Dawkins, Cabinet member for the environment and climate change, is urging residents to apply immediately.

“The funding is limited to the amount we have been awarded,” she said. “An early application is advised in order to avoid disappointment.” The scheme runs until March 2028, but the money could run out much sooner!”
