Two suspected burglars have been swiftly charged after a property was targeted in the rural village of Hamstreet near Ashford. Kent Police was called to the scene shortly after 1.30pm on Saturday 15 November 2025.
It was alleged that two men entered a property in the Warehorne Road area earlier that afternoon after which jewellery, equipment and other items were later reported to be missing from the address. The pair reportedly left the scene in a vehicle.
Officers attended the scene and enquiries were completed, leading to the arrest of a man that same evening, and a second arrest early the following day.
On Sunday 16 November, a man from Woodchurch, and another man from Ashford, were charged with burglary. The pair appeared before Folkestone magistrates the next morning, where they pleaded guilty. They were remanded in custody to Canterbury Crown Court to be sentenced at a later date.
