Charges have been brought against a suspected offender following a serious assault at Brenzett Green, on Romney Marsh shortly after 9am on Monday 17 November 2025.
Police report that following a dispute, which involved a small group of people that were known to each other, a man was reported to have been assaulted. Officers attended along with paramedics and two men were taken to hospital. One was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds and was later discharged. The other remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Following enquiries, five men from the local area were arrested in connection with the incident and on Wednesday 19 November, an 18-year-old man, from Brenzett, was charged with malicious wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife in a public place and a public order offence. He was remanded in custody to appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court later that day.
One detainee remains in custody and three were bailed with conditions, while enquiries continue.
