On arrival, he was immediately arrested and taken into custody. Boorman, of Ffordd Taliesin, Killay near Swansea, was subsequently charged with offences including arranging the commission of the rape of a child.

He pleaded guilty at his first appearance at Maidstone Crown Court. On Friday 14 November 2025, he appeared again at the same court where he was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment. An indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order has also been imposed.

Investigating officer, PC Aimee Edwards said:

‘Boorman is a danger to children and was prepared to travel a considerable distance to commit appalling offences. He was intercepted by our patrols and was placed before the court at the earliest opportunity. When this criminal is released from prison he will be subject to a strict court order that imposes conditions on his ongoing conduct. He will then receive regular unannounced visits from officers who will be checking he is complying with these restrictions.’
