A 27-year-old man is in critical condition following a horrific early morning crash involving two cars and a lorry on the A2 near Gravesend.

The serious collision occurred on the coastbound A2 Watling Street at approximately 5:21 am on Sunday, November 23, 2025. A white Mercedes A45 AMG and a black BMW 1 Series initially collided before both vehicles subsequently struck a white Volvo HGV. Emergency services, including Kent Fire and Rescue and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. The driver of the BMW was treated and immediately transported to a London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. His family has been informed.

In connection with the incident, another man, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital and later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving. He has since been released on bail while the investigation continues.
