Two men aged 23 and 29 from Birchington and Westgate-on Sea have been charged in connection with a disturbance at a pub in Birchington. Kent Police was called to the incident at the Seaview Hotel on Station Road at 12.30am on Saturday 22 November 2025. An altercation took place involving a small group of people, during which it is reported that two men were injured.

Officers attended along with paramedics and the men were taken to hospital. One was treated for cuts to his hand and face. The second man received treatment after sustaining a leg injury. Both were later discharged. Enquiries were completed and two arrests were made at the scene. A Stanley knife was recovered.

On Sunday, November 23, two men were charged with affray with a 29-year-old from of Westgate-on-Sea additionally charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of a knife. Both men, were remanded in custody to appear before Margate magistrates on Monday, November 24.

An investigation is ongoing and officers are urging witnesses, including anyone with mobile phone footage, to contact them.
