Police are urgently seeking witnesses and footage following a serious assault in the early hours of Saturday morning that left a man hospitalised with head and facial injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 4.25am on Saturday, 22 November 2025, outside a charity shop in Jubilee Square. Kent Police were called to reports of a disturbance and learned that a vicious attack had taken place. It is alleged that the victim was punched to the floor before the assailant proceeded to repeatedly kick him.
The suspect fled the scene before police officers arrived. Emergency services attended, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment for serious head and facial injuries.
Detectives are making a direct appeal for help from the public, stating they believe a key piece of evidence may exist.
“It is believed a member of public may have captured the incident on their phone,” a police spokesperson confirmed.
Investigators are urging that person, or anyone who witnessed the violent disturbance, to contact them immediately. They are also asking local residents with private CCTV and drivers who passed through the area with dashcam footage to review their recordings for anything relevant.
