Folkestone School for Girls Triumph in Prestigious Christmas Card Competition!

The Worshipful Town Mayor of Folkestone, Councillor Lucy McGirr, invited the super-talented students in Years 7 and 8 from local secondary schools to unleash their artistic flair and design a picture reflecting ‘Festive Folkestone’ for her official 2025 Christmas card!

This prestigious card is a big deal—it’s sent out to local businesses, dignitaries, and even His Majesty The King!


Councillor Lucy McGirr was absolutely buzzing with excitement about the incredible response!


“My heartfelt thanks to all the schools for taking the time to send in so many entries for the competition,” she exclaimed. “The standard was exceptionally high! A huge, special mention must go to the brilliant students at Folkestone School for Girls for their truly amazing submissions.”
