Driver From Croatia Charged Over Fatal Collision on M20 Near Lenham

A suspect has been charged and appeared in court following a fatal collision on the M20 near Lenham at 8.27am on Tuesday 25 November 2025.

The incident happened as a white MAN lorry, a black Nissan Qashqai and a white Scania articulated lorry were travelling on the London-bound carriageway of the motorway, between junctions 9 and 8. Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the Nissan, Arran McManus, 36, was confirmed to be deceased at the scene.

The driver of the MAN lorry was arrested in connection with the collision and treated at a hospital for injuries before being discharged. On Saturday 29 November, a man from of Vidovec, Croatia was charged with causing death by dangerous driving. The 57-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 1 December and was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 2 January 2026.

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing with their enquiries and urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw the vehicles before the collision, to contact them.
