Investigators are launching an urgent appeal for information following the theft of multiple ultra-high-value racing bicycles—with a staggering estimated combined value of £30,000—from properties across the Canterbury area.
The thieves have targeted highly specialised, elite-level cycles, highlighting the sophisticated nature of the crimes. Officers are currently reviewing local CCTV footage and are now releasing details of the stolen property to the public.
On the morning of Monday 1 December, three high-end racing bikes, worth approximately £12,000 collectively, were taken from outside a residential property in Ickham. These machines represent a significant investment in cycling performance. They are described as:
- S-Works road bike (distinctive red and yellow livery).
- Pinarello road bike (white).
- Pinarello road bike (light blue with eye-catching orange handlebars).
In a separate, but equally serious incident between Thursday 27 and Friday 28 of November 2025, a single bicycle—valued at an estimated £18,000—was stolen from a property in Hersden. This single machine represents the peak of cycling technology and cost.
- The stolen bike is a white S-Works model featuring a distinctive red bull logo.
Police are urging the public to consider the extreme value of these items. These are not standard bikes; they are highly niche and sought-after. Anyone who has been offered these specialist items for sale, or who has information that can assist the investigation, is asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/204946/25.
