Detectives investigating the death of a 19 year old man in Chatham have charged an 18-year-old man with murder.
Kent Police was called at 3.11am on Tuesday 2 December 2025, following reports of an assault in a private property in Thorold Road. Officers arrived with other emergency services, and a 19-year-old man was found inside the premises with injuries consistent with stab wounds. The victim was treated by paramedics but was confirmed deceased at the scene.
An investigation was launched and two men were arrested on Tuesday 2 December 2025. On Thursday 4 December, a man from Greenford, London, was charged with murder. The 18 year old appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Monday 8 December at Maidstone Crown Court. The other man arrested in connection with the incident, a 32-year-old from Chatham, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
