A local man has been charged following the theft of a Christmas decoration in Sheerness Broadway.
Kent Police was called at 1.33pm on Friday 5 December 2025 to a report of the theft of a nutcracker statue. An investigation was launched and two men were arrested in connection with the incident.
A 39-year-old from Sheerness, was later charged with three counts of theft, two of which related to separate incidents at a shop in Neats Court Retail Park on 25 November and 1 December. He has been released on bail until his first appearance at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 11 February 2026.
A 59 year old man from Sheerness also arrested in connection with the decoration’s theft has been released without charge.
Detectives are still seeking anyone who might be able to assist them in locating the stolen property.
