Kent Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the assault on a driver in the Willesborough area of Ashford at around 2:00 PM on Saturday, 6 December, on Church Road, near the junction with Hythe Road.

According to initial reports, a man driving a flatbed truck was targeted. A second man, who is believed to be known to the victim, reportedly got into the back of the vehicle. A disturbance quickly escalated, during which the driver was allegedly assaulted, sustaining facial injuries.

The victim managed to drive away from the scene in his truck, heading towards Junction 10 of the M20. The assailant is reported to have exited the vehicle and left the area.

Police attended the scene shortly after the assault and have begun an investigation. Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who possesses relevant dashcam footage or CCTV, to contact them.
