Two individuals, an adult and a teenager, have been charged with a combined 40 counts of theft related to the high-value stealing of batteries from telecommunication sites across Kent and Surrey in late 2024.
The thefts, which caused broadband outages and involved an estimated £18,750 in equipment, led to arrests in October 2024. Both suspects were scheduled to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
