Police are appealing for witnesses following a violent disturbance that saw four 14-year-old boys assaulted in a suspected gang attack near the town centre.
The incident, which Kent Police was called to at 5.41 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, occurred near the busy junction of Mount Pleasant Road and Calverley Road. Reports allege that a group of young people, described as wearing dark tracksuits, confronted and assaulted the victims, with some of the boys reportedly forced to the ground during the attack. Officers attended the scene, where the victims reported minor injuries.
A 15-year-old boy was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault and affray. He has since been released on bail as further enquiries continue.
