Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after burglars targeted a jewellery store on Sandling Road during the early hours of Monday morning.
The break-in occurred between 6:45 pm on Sunday, Dec. 14, and 1:50 am on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025. Investigators report that while the suspects successfully gained entry to the premises, they fled the scene empty-handed after an internal alarm was triggered. Witnesses saw the individuals escaping in the direction of Hope Street.
Officers arrived on the scene shortly after the alarm sounded, and a formal investigation is now underway.
Detectives are specifically looking for:
- Witnesses: Anyone who saw suspicious activity near Sandling Road or Hope Street during the specified timeframe.
- CCTV Footage: Residents in the immediate vicinity are asked to review private security feeds.
- Dashcam Footage: Motorists who were driving in the area at the time are urged to check their recordings for potential evidence.
