Detectives are appealing for witnesses and potential victims to come forward following a series of alleged assaults and reports of erratic behaviour in Margate last week.
Kent Police were called to the Marine Drive area shortly after 8:30 pm on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Callers reported a man acting erratically near the marina, walking into the middle of the road and kicking passing vehicles.
The investigation has since expanded following reports that the same individual targeted pedestrians. The suspect is alleged to have assaulted several people in the vicinity of Market Square and Market Place. However, while no serious injuries have been reported to the authorities, officers believe there may be additional victims who have not yet sought assistance or reported their involvement.
Officers attended the scene and successfully apprehended a male suspect. He remains central to the ongoing investigation and Police are now focused on identifying anyone who was approached, threatened, or struck during the incident.
They are also keen to speak with:
- Witnesses who observed the man’s behaviour on Marine Drive.
- Motorists whose vehicles may have been damaged or who captured dashcam footage.
- Victims who were targeted in Market Square or Market Place.
