Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urgently appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious incident in Larkfield yesterday.
At approximately 8:15 am on Sunday, 21 December 2025, a collision occurred at the junction of Leybourne Way and Gighill Road. The incident involved a white VW van and a pedestrian.
A man in his 80s sustained critical injuries and was treated at the scene by emergency crews before being rushed to the hospital. While the driver of the van stopped and is assisting officers with their enquiries, Police need your help to piece together exactly what happened.
If you were in the area this morning, your information could be vital to the investigation. Police are specifically looking for:
- Witnesses: Anyone who saw the pedestrian or the white VW van in the moments leading up to the collision.
- Dashcam Footage: Drivers who were travelling along Leybourne Way or Gighill Road between 8:00 am and 8:30 am yesterday.
- CCTV/Doorbell Media: Residents or businesses in the immediate vicinity who may have captured the incident on camera.
