Police are hunting a suspect in a dressing gown following a “serious” assault that left a man with significant facial injuries two days before Christmas.
The attack took place in Jeffery Street at around 4:50 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 where, according to investigators, the victim—a man in his 20s—had stopped his car to speak with a group of boys who were reportedly throwing objects at passing vehicles. Shortly after giving the youths “advice,” the victim was approached by a man who struck him in the head. The assault allegedly continued after the victim fell to the ground. The victim was later treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
Officers are searching for a suspect described as:
- Appearance: White male, slim build, approximately 18 years old, and 5ft 7in tall.
- Features: Clean-shaven with light brown hair.
- Clothing: A grey dressing gown, grey jogging bottoms, and long white socks pulled up over the trousers.
- Transport: He was seen riding a black e-scooter prior to the incident.
Kent Police are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the Jeffery Street area to come forward.
