A 58-year-old man has been charged in connection with a series of burglaries at a hotel on Top Dartford Road, including an incident dating back to 2024.
The charges follow an investigation into reports from October 2025, when two hotel guests reported that money, jewellery, and bank cards had been stolen from their rooms. Police allege the stolen cards were subsequently used to make several fraudulent purchases.
Following a review of CCTV footage, officers arrested a suspect on January 2, 2026. The individual, from Plumstead, has been charged with two counts of burglary related to the October incidents and a third count linked to a separate burglary at the same hotel in September 2024.
The accused appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on January 3. He was granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on January 30.
