A routine Monday evening turned into a scene of violence in Gravesend as a gang of teenagers reportedly ambushed a man, leaving him with head injuries during a failed robbery attempt.

The incident occurred shortly after 7:00 PM on Monday, 15 December 2025, right in the heart of the High Street. According to reports, the victim was confronted by a group of youths who launched a physical assault before attempting to wrestle away his electric bike.

While the victim suffered injuries to his head, authorities have confirmed that his condition is not life-threatening and following a swift response to the scene, Kent Police officers tracked down and arrested a 14-year-old boy on Milton Road.

He was taken into custody on suspicion of assault and attempted robbery and has since been released on bail as investigations continue. Officers are now working urgently to identify the remaining members of the group involved in the attack. They are appealing to the public for any evidence that could lead to further arrests.

Investigators are specifically looking for:

  • Eyewitnesses who were on the High Street at the time of the assault.
  • Mobile phone footage or social media clips of the incident.
  • Dashcam or CCTV from nearby businesses or vehicles.
