Detectives have released CCTV images of five individuals they urgently wish to identify following a “serious” gang attack that left a man hospitalized in the heart of Gravesend.

The violence erupted in the early hours of Saturday, 27 December 2025. Kent Police were scrambled to the scene at 3:23 AM following reports that a man had been targeted and set upon by a group on New Road, near the junction with King Street.
The victim was subjected to a sustained assault, sustaining significant injuries to both his head and face. Emergency services attended the scene, and the man was rushed to a local hospital for urgent treatment. While he has since been discharged to continue his recovery at home, officers are treating the incident with the utmost seriousness.
Following extensive forensic and witness enquiries, investigators are now turning to the public for help. They have released images of five people, shown above, who were in the area at the time and may hold vital information that could lead to an arrest.
“We are appealing to anyone who recognizes these individuals or who may have witnessed the lead-up to this assault,” a spokesperson for Kent Police said. “This was a violent incident in a busy part of the town centre, and it is imperative that we speak to everyone pictured.”
