FOLKESTONE – Kent Police have launched an investigation following a violent assault in Folkestone that left a man with a broken arm during the early hours of New Year’s Day. The attack, which took place on Tram Road shortly after 3:30 am, has been described by investigators as an unprovoked incident.
Officers were called to the scene where they found the victim, a man in his 30s, suffering from a significant arm fracture. Paramedics provided initial treatment before transporting the man to a local hospital for further medical care. According to initial reports, the suspect—who was not known to the victim—fled the area before emergency services could arrive.

Investigators are now working to identify a man seen in CCTV images, shown above, who was in the area at the exact time of the assault. The individual is described as white with short blonde hair. He was wearing a highly visible red motorbike jacket and dark trousers, which police hope will help members of the public recall seeing him.
