Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to a residential property on Rumsfield Road in Broadstairs yesterday evening following reports of a fire in a bedroom. The emergency call was received at 7:06 PM on Wednesday, 14 January, prompting an immediate response from the Thanet-based teams.

Two fire engines arrived at the scene, where firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus entered the home to locate the source of the flames. Crews utilized high-pressure hose reel jets to successfully extinguish the fire and prevent further spread throughout the property.

The operation concluded at approximately 7:57 PM. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to residents or emergency personnel. While the fire has been safely put out, the cause of the incident remains unknown at this stage and is currently under investigation.
