Firefighters and gas safety experts were deployed to Littlebourne Road in Canterbury on Tuesday afternoon following reports of a suspected gas leak.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service received the initial call at 3:53 PM and dispatched two fire engines to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews coordinated with Kent Police and gas safety engineers to secure the area and mitigate potential risks. The joint operation lasted nearly two hours as responders worked to ensure the safety of the surrounding neighbourhood. The incident was officially declared safe and brought to a close by 5:41 PM.
