Kent Police was called to The Samuel Peto in Rendezvous Street Folkestone just after 11pm on Friday 30 January 2026 following an assault in the premises.

A CCTV image shown left, has been issued by officers investigating an assault at the pub.
A man reportedly approached a booth on the upper floor of the premises to meet friends. Two men not known to him were sitting nearby. It was reported that, shortly afterwards, a disturbance broke out and the man was assaulted and the suspect then left.
Officers arrived along with paramedics, who treated the victim for facial injuries.
Initial enquiries were completed and investigators have now issued a CCTV image of a man who may have important information.
