Kent Police acted with remarkable speed on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, apprehending two men and recovering hundreds of pounds worth of suspected stolen merchandise just twelve minutes after receiving a distress call.
The incident began at 9:32 am when a staff member from a High Street business in Edenbridge alerted authorities to a theft involving approximately £350 in merchandise. The reporting staff provided crucial details regarding the suspects and a getaway vehicle, allowing local patrols to mobilize immediately. By 9:44 am, officers spotted a car matching the description in nearby Sundridge. The vehicle was intercepted on Manor Road, where police detained the occupants and conducted a thorough search of the car.
During the inspection, officers discovered a substantial cache of beauty products. These items were seized as evidence while the investigation continues. Two men from the London area, aged 30 and 55, were arrested on suspicion of theft.
