Detectives have launched a witness appeal following a violent disturbance in Canterbury city centre that left two men with significant head and facial injuries. Six local men have been arrested in connection with the incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 29 March 2026.

Kent Police were called to Canterbury Lane at approximately 4:30 am following reports of a sustained assault near a local taxi rank. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics located two victims, both aged in their 30s, who had suffered multiple injuries during the confrontation. The men were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and have since been discharged.

In the ensuing investigation, officers apprehended six men ranging in age from 19 to 42. All six suspects were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
