Proactive Police Stop in Ashford Leads to Class A Drug Seizures and Four Arrests

A proactive police operation in Ashford resulted in the seizure of drugs and weapons and the arrest of four suspected dealers on Monday.

The incident began shortly after midday on 13 April 2026, when officers patrolling the Simone Weil Avenue area observed suspicious behaviour.

After detaining a 20-year-old man, officers recovered two mobile phones and arrested him on suspicion of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs. The investigation quickly expanded to a nearby property, where officers discovered and seized wraps believed to contain heroin and crack cocaine. During this search, two 17-year-old boys were also taken into custody in connection with drug offences.

Following further enquiries, police went to a second local address where they seized cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and several knives. A 42-year-old woman was detained at this location. All four suspects remain in custody while the investigation continues.
