Detectives focused on disrupting county lines activity in Gillingham have successfully brought six charges against a local man following the seizure of significant quantities of Class A drugs. The investigation was initiated after Kent Police received intelligence linking a specific mobile phone number to a drug supply network operating within the Medway town.
The breakthrough in the case occurred on Thursday, April 23, 2026, when officers apprehended a suspect following extensive preliminary enquiries. A subsequent search of a property linked to the individual led to the discovery of heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine. In addition to the narcotics, police recovered a bladed weapon and approximately £5,000 in suspected criminal cash.
The 24-year-old defendant from Gillingham, has been formally charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin. He further faces charges for possession of cannabis, possession of an offensive weapon, and possession of criminal property.
He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 24, where he was remanded in custody. The legal proceedings are set to continue at Maidstone Crown Court, with his next appearance scheduled for Friday, May 22.
