Detectives are calling for witnesses to come forward following a violent disturbance at a Ramsgate petrol station on Thursday afternoon. Kent Police were summoned to the Texaco garage on West Cliff Road shortly before 3:30 pm on April 23, 2026, following reports of an altercation on the forecourt.
The incident reportedly began when a pedestrian approached a driver seated in their vehicle. According to investigators, a disturbance broke out during which the driver was assaulted and several cars were allegedly targeted. While officers attended the scene and conducted initial enquiries, no injuries requiring medical treatment were reported at the time.
Following a brief search of the surrounding area, officers arrested a man in his 30s. He was taken into custody and has since been released on conditional bail while the investigation remains ongoing.
Police are now urging anyone who witnessed the event or captured footage on a dashcam to assist with the inquiry.
