Emergency services responded to a traffic incident on the M20 earlier today after a lorry overturned between Junction 1 and Junction 2. Kent Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the scene near the Swanley Interchange at 10:42 AM on Saturday, 9 May 2026.
Two fire engines were dispatched to the site, where crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and ensure the area was safe for other motorists.
Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics also attended the scene to provide assistance. After being assessed by fire crews, the driver of the lorry was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics for further medical evaluation. The scene was cleared by 10:59 AM.
