Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a house fire in Albany Drive, Herne Bay, late on Sunday evening 17 May.

Four fire engines and a specialist height vehicle were dispatched to the scene at 9:09 pm following reports of the blaze. Crews equipped with breathing apparatus worked for over two hours to contain the fire, utilizing high-pressure hose reel jets and a main jet to extinguish the flames.

The KFRS Volunteer Response Team also attended the scene to provide support. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and the incident was brought to a close by 11:27 pm. While the precise cause of the fire is not yet known, it is believed to have started accidentally in the kitchen.
