Swords, Cash, and Class A Drugs Seized in Dramatic Folkestone Arrest


A suspected teenage drug dealer is in custody after proactive police patrols intercepted a suspected illicit deal on the streets of Folkestone.

Officers patrolling near Foord Road South sprang into action shortly after 2:00 pm on Monday 11 May 2026, after spotting suspicious activity. A man was seen mingling with a group of individuals near Grace Hill before officers moved in, cornered the suspect, and swiftly detained him.

Initial searches at the scene uncovered a substantial quantity of cash and a mobile phone. However, the investigation rapidly escalated when officers launched a follow-up raid on a nearby property. Inside, police uncovered a dangerous haul, including what is believed to be heroin, cocaine, and cannabis, alongside an additional £1,000 in cash. Officers also discovered and seized several lethal swords.

The 19-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of multiple drug offences and possession of an offensive weapon. Following questioning, he was bailed with strict conditions while ongoing enquiries continue.
